Spiegel & McDiarmid LLP is pleased to announce that Katharine M. Mapes has become a Partner in the firm.  Katie has been with Spiegel & McDiarmid since 2009.

Katie’s practice focus is in energy and hydroelectric licensing.  She represents municipal and cooperative electric utilities, unions, and hydroelectric licensees before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”), federal courts, and state utility commissions.  She has co-authored briefs before United States Courts of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

A cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, Katie is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia and the State of Oregon.  You can read more about her practice and background here.
