Spiegel & McDiarmid LLP is pleased to announce that Jeffrey A. Schwarz has become a Partner in the firm. Jeff, previously a Partner and more recently Of Counsel to the firm, has been with Spiegel & McDiarmid since 1994.

Jeff’s practice focus is in energy and he represents municipal and cooperative electric utilities, state public utility commissions, consumer advocates, attorneys general, and other public-interest-oriented organizations in litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) and federal courts. He has co-authored five Supreme Court party and amicus briefs on utility-regulation issues.

A cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, Jeff is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia and the Commonwealths of Virginia and Massachusetts. You can read more about his practice and background here.
