On June 24 and 25, 2025, Spiegel partner Jeff Bayne spoke at the national conference for the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) in Boston, MA. He presented a session on “Law, PEG Policy, and FCC Updates,” which provided an update on how actions by Congress, the courts, and FCC are affecting community media organizations across the county. He separately provided an update on the firm’s work with the Alliance for Communications Democracy on consumer protection requirements, federal law issues related to state legislation on community media funding, and cable franchise renewal issues. Jeff has been a member of the ACM Board of Directors since November 2022.
