Attorneys Scott Strauss and Katharine Mapes had an article published in the Spring issue of the New Labor Forum.  Entitled “Union Power in Public Utilities: Defending Worker and Consumer Health and Safety,” the article argues that labor unions can advance traditional workforce objectives by participation in state utility commission proceedings.  Among other things, the article reviews cases successfully litigated by Spiegel lawyers on behalf of the Utility Workers Union of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (and their locals) at utility commissions around the country.
