Dan — a frequent op-ed and book review contributor to the New York Times, Washington Post, Atlantic, Financial Times and The Economist — played a leading role in protracted and successful litigation over a Pacific Gas and Electric attempt to exponentially raise the Western Area Power Administration’s rates. A member of the Bar of the District of Columbia, he has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Courts of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Ninth and Tenth Circuits; the United States District Courts of the District of Columbia, Southern District of New York and other districts. In addition, Dan served as a delegate to the Paris Peace Talks on Vietnam and on the National Security Council staff.
